Free Style Ramp

We currently have a freestyle ramp that we have had as far back as 75 feet. The ramp can easily be moved with 3 people as close as 20 feet. Once you feel comfortable at a given distance, you can then move the ramp back 5-10 feet at a time. Tricks are much easier to learn on a ramp since it is consistent and has a smooth takeoff and landing. This past summer we added a second ramp to the track. This ramp is closer for the beginners and the other ramp is left farther away for the more experienced riders.

The ramps might be intimidating at first, but after you try it once you will be surprised at how easy it is. There are usually always riders at the track that are willing to help you learn the best techniques for going on the ramps. The main thing is learning how much gas you need to give the bike, and what gear to be in once you hit the ramp.

Free Style Ramp Plans

The image below are the plans that Ashley developed using Autocad to make the red and yellow free style ramps.

The Red Ramp

The red ramp was the first ramp built by Richard and Ashley. It is considered the ramp for more experienced riders, because it is set back further from the landing. This is the ramp that most of the guys use to pull back and attempt free style tricks on. Below is an image of the red ramp.

The Yellow Ramp

The yellow ramp is the latest additon to the track. This ramp is for beginners beause it is left closer to the landing so riders can get the feel for how they need to approach the ramp. This ramp is basically like going over a small double jump. Now when we say beginner ramp, we mean ANYONE can do it, just look at the image below. Although I'm not sure I'd consider this little guy a beginner if he's already attempting this!
